After 500 miles there was an engine issue. Engine was shipped back to QED, in England. It was rebuilt with a new alloy block (cast in-house at QED) with 84mm bore. Fitted with new forged pistons, steel crank and conrods. A 94mm stroke works out to 2287cc (call it 2.3 litre). Dynoed at 267hp @ 6700rpm, and still climbing, with 214 ft lbs of torque at 5500 rpm.. Fitted with close ratio 5 speed gearbox, ratios are 2.81, 1.81, 1.26, 1. 0.85.

The motor has a DTA Management system that controls injection, fuel mapping, timing, rev limiter, etc.  The limiter was set to 8500 rpm and shift light to 7800.

Mileage 1200 miles. Currently probably the quickest, registered Caterham, in the country.
