At 8500 miles the customer built a new Zetec engine, with SVO heads & uprated cams. Whist the engine ran well he could not program the ECU correctly. The car was returned to Sevens & Elans, engine removed and put on an engine dyno. The ECU was correctly remapped. It produced 218hp, on a very conservative dyno. When the customer first drove it he was ecstatic with the traceability and power of the engine. At the same time new suspension bushes and tyres were fitted.
